Randy earned his Master of Arts
in Applied Behavioral Sciences through the Leadership Institute of Seattle
(LIOS) at City University in Seattle Washington.
Randy's therapy philosophy is
the same for people as it is for animals...
Rehabilitate and
Return
Randy's involvement with animals
began long before he became a therapist with humans. He came to know,
first hand, the therapeutic value of animal companionship at an early
age.
"I
was an only child, growing up in Shreveport, Louisiana. My mother was
an alcoholic and my father a rageaholic -- one who beats you. As a child
I would run to the woods to escape the abuse. I found that, if I was
very calm in body and spirit, animals would come and sit close to me.
I would talk to them and they became my brothers and sisters."
